Part-time English Teacher for Children

JoynStar is a small private English school in Senzoku, Meguro, teaching children from preschool age through elementary school.

Our curriculum and lesson structure are already prepared, so teachers do not need to design lessons from scratch. Most lesson materials and curriculum planning are provided, helping keep preparation time manageable.

Teachers are encouraged to bring their own personality, creativity, games, and teaching style into the classroom.

A typical lesson may include:

- "Hello" song and warm-up

- Short circle time

- Alphabet or phonics practice

- Textbook/workbook or thematic activities

- Games and interactive speaking activities

- "Goodbye" song

We believe lessons should be structured and purposeful while still being fun and engaging for children.

Please note: This is a professional teaching position. Applicants must have previous teaching experience, a teaching/education qualification, or a professional background in education.

• Teach English to children from preschool age through elementary school
• Follow the prepared curriculum and lesson structure
• Lead lessons including warm-up songs, circle time, phonics practice, textbook activities, and games
• Bring creativity and personal teaching style into the classroom
• Keep lessons structured, purposeful, fun, and engaging for children

• Previous professional teaching experience with children in a school, preschool, language school, or similar educational setting
• Teaching qualification, degree, or professional background in education
• Valid eligibility to work in Japan (no visa sponsorship available for this position)
• Student visa holders must hold a valid 資格外活動許可 (permission to engage in activity other than permitted)
• Reliable, well organized, with good communication skills

• Genuinely enjoy working with children
• Energetic and comfortable leading interactive activities
• Can follow an established curriculum while adding your own creativity
• Interested in improving and developing as a teacher
• Interest in social media content creation (optional, additional paid hours may be available)

Salary

¥1,800–¥2,200/hour (transportation fees covered up to ¥1,000 per working day)
